Midjourney is an artificial intelligence tool to turn text descriptions into images. It's currently in open beta, which means it's still being tested, and you can use it through a Discord bot or by inviting the bot to a different Discord server. Midjourney was founded by the co-founder of Leap Motion, David Holz, and has been around since July 2022.

The company is also working on a web interface and regularly updates its algorithm. They've even made a web app where you can see your images and get faster graphics processing for better performance.
How to use Midjourney
- First, you'll need to join a Discord server where the Midjourney bot is set up. If you're not sure if you're already on a server with the bot, you can join the official Midjourney Discord server using this link: https://discord.gg/midjourney. Once you're in, look for a "newbies" channel on the left side of the screen.
- To create an image with the bot, you'll use the "/imagine" command in a bot channel like #newbies-1. Just start typing "/imagine" and then click or tap on the option that appears above your text. This will create a field where you can type in your request for the bot to generate an image. You can also try pressing the spacebar, tab, or enter to create the field.
- Now you just need to wait for the bot to process your request. It'll take about a minute for it to generate four options based on your request.
- Keep in mind that you'll only be able to create a certain number of images before you need to subscribe, and you'll have around 25 free uses of the "/imagine" command or other queries (also known as "jobs" or "GPU-minutes"). Just make sure to follow the content and moderation policy when using the bot, and avoid anything inappropriate or offensive.
